Why Group Initiatives (“low ropes”) are a crucial part of our experience.
Group Initiatives (often called “Low Ropes”) are a chance to take abstract concepts like trust, leadership, communication, and problem-solving and practice them in an environment that removes some of the constraints of normal group dynamics. It’s easier for teams to learn and grow when learning is wrapped in play, and easier to discuss real issues around communication and personal dynamics when the issues revolve around a foam ball, a pool noodle, and a rubber chicken. The atmosphere of play and experimentation doesn’t mean the learning isn’t real. Fun and challenging activities are designed to bring up certain aspects of group communication, and the facilitated discussion after illuminates learning participants can take “back to the office”.

So you want to include the TEC course as A High Adventure Activity…
A Note About Larger Programs: When programs are above a certain size, adjustments to the exact details may occur in order to maximize the experience for all participants. High Adventure Activities have limits for how many participants can move through in an hour and (for example), if you want 40 participants to experience the two-person swing, we’ll divide the group so half and run the activity for a total of two hours.
3 hour (1/2 day) program
Three hour programs often start at 9:00am or 1:00pm.
5 hour program (School Day Special)
5 hour programs often run 9:00 - 2:00, or 10:00 - 3:00.
7 hour (full day) program
The Most Customizable Option
Hour 5 is often upgraded to be a third High Adventure Activity
This program often runs 9:00 - 4:00 or 9:30 - 4:30
Adding TEC Course to a program
The Team Enrichment Challenge (TEC) Course is a great option for certain groups! Teams are guided through six different challenge stages as they’re suspended 55 feet above the ground. The TEC course takes approximately 90-120 minutes for each group of 10 participants to complete (though up to four groups can be moving through the course simultaneously).
Groups often add a meal before or after this day.
